Formula 1 cars represent some of the most valuable race cars for collector's of historic racing cars. These are not for discount, bargain minded collectors. Depending on the car, driver and record they can be a good investment. For example, Michael Schumacer's Ferrari F300 from 1998 sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction for $1.7 million USD. If you plan to restore or campaign these cars, they can be particularly challenging but incredible to drive.

The March CG901 was designed by Adrian Newey and debuted in 1990. They were driven by Mauricio Gugelmin and Ivan Capelli. Powered by 3.5 Liter Judd EV engine mated to a 6 speed longitudinal gearbox. This car features Brembo carbon/carbon brakes. This car is completely analog and does not require any sophisticated electronics to operate it. This particular car is B version which debuted at mid season.

March 711 formula 1 car - 750,000 euros
Cosworth FOrd dfv powered
This March 711 - 2. It was driven by Ronnie Peterson it it's debut at the 1971 South African Grand Prix. Later he scored 2nd place finishes at Monaco and a non-championship race at Hockenheim. Followed by a 4th place at Zandvoort. The car was then relegated to backup car status. It was brought to the 1971 Austrian Grand Prix and used for the debut of future 3-time Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda.
The car is powered by the legendary Cosworth Ford DFV engine coupled to a Hewland FG400 gearbox.

SHADOW DN9-B FORMULA 1 CAR - $500,000
COSWORTH FORD DFV POWERED
This car was acquired in 1999 from Shadow founder Don Nicholson as a restoration project. It was assigned chassis number DN9-1/B(R). The R denotes that it is a re-creation from a tub of unknown history. It was originally restored in the paint and graphics scheme of Samson Shag car driven by Jan Lammers in the 1979 Argentine and Brazilian Formula 1 races. The restoration was completed in 2002. The original bodywork was located and purchased in 2010. The paint and graphics were changed to the newer version.
The car has since been rebuilt since the restoration. The engine and gearbox are fresh. It has new wiring and plumbing.
